Chapter 147

"Jamirez?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you hear that?"

Jamirez looked around but he couldn't hear anything, "I can't hear anything."

Lucien sighed, "I keep hearing this sound but I don't know what it is."

Jamirez shook his head as he looked around once again.

"Come on, let's go. We are almost close." Jamirez suggested.

Lucien nodded and followed Jamirez but his mind kept plaguing him about the sound.

"We need to hurry,"

The two fast walked as they hurried. They didn't want to spend any more time than they wanted to in here.

They trekked deeper into the dense foliage, they stumbled upon a clearing bathed in the light from the moon.

Curiosity piqued, they approached the clearing with caution, their ears perked up at the distant sound of voices carrying through the still air.

"Hush," Lucien whispered, his voice barely audible.
