Sara sat on a log, her golden eyes staring intently at Lucien. He paced back and forth in front of her, his tail twitching with agitation. They had been having this argument for the past hour, and neither of them seemed to be making any headway.
"I don't understand why you're so insistent on this," Lucien said, his voice tight with frustration. "You know that I can't remember anything before we met. How do I know that we were mates before this?"
Sara sighed heavily. "I've explained this to you before, Lucien. something happened between us, I can't remember much about it." she held out a hand to him. "But we were mates, I'm sure of it. I can feel it in my bones."
