Lucien took a deep breath as he approached Jamirez' den. He was careful because he didn't want to interrupt his friend's peace for nothing.

He chose this den because Jamirez craved silence and peace, that's why he chose to stay far from the pack house.

He knew that the news he was about to deliver wouldn't be easy for his friend to hear, but he needed to know that Sara wasn't going anywhere and that they were moving ahead with the mating ceremony, and he knew that Jamirez would not be pleased.

Lucien hesitated at the door, he was the leader but something about informing his best friend of his decision had him breaking out in hives.

Jamirez was a proud and strong male, known for his fierce temper and unwillingness to back down. Lucien had always respected him for his strength which was why he made Jamirez his beta, but he also knew that it could be a liability at times like this when he needed his beta to be level-headed.
