Hours before the mating Ceremony.

She was here, she was truly here. Daciana chided herself.

Daciana watched from the shadows as the pack members bustled around, setting up for the celebration.

Like there was nothing to celebrate when she wasn't here, where she belonged.

She had taken extra care to mask her scent with odora leaves, knowing that she couldn't risk being detected by the Lycan, or anyone who might recognize her as an intruder.

Despite the lovely decorations and princess theme, it was beautiful but Daciana couldn't help but roll her eyes at the frivolity of it all. She didn't have time for this nonsense, not when her heart was breaking into a million pieces.

All she wanted was to lay eyes on the woman, the mate stealer, to look her in the eye and demand answers. She wanted to know what this woman had that she didn't, what she had done to win Lucien's heart.
