Alpha Cole and I locked gazes, and time seemed to stand still. It was quite obvious that he was trying to intimidate me, and make me cower, but I was not going to give him the satisfaction of seeing me quiver before him like a dog with their tale between their legs.

It was rather glaring that alpha Cole despised the fact that I had so much control over the quadruplets and he feared that once I become the Luna, he would lose the control he has over his sons and that would be a bad thing for him.

Even though it looked like alpha Cole was the one running the pack, the quadruplets were actually the ones keeping the pack together. They did all the work and maintained harmony and peace in the pack. If I, who has a leash around their neck, becomes the Luna, I could control them however I liked, and that would mean that his control over them would be gone.
