Chapter 40. How Would I Keep Up?

I was stunned.

I could not take my eyes away from the sight before me. The brightly decorated flower arc was what caught my attention immediately. I stood on the balcony of my room on the third floor, staring down at the open space they had prepared for the mating ceremony.

It seemed like yesterday when alpha Cole has announced that the mating ceremony would take place, and the day has finally come. I was nervous, but also excited to see how the day would play out, especially when I was going to be the centre of attention.

There had never been an occasion where I would be the centre of attention. My birthdays had never been celebrated and I was not the type to like crowds, but for this occasion, I was more than willing leave my comfort zone.

My eyes flickered from the arc that was decorated wit flowers of different colours, across the whole space. Thousands of rows, of chairs has been placed with tables, having small bouquets on them. R
