Friends Again

~3RD PERSON’S POV~

“What just happened?” Anaya asked with a blank expression on her face. She wasn’t at all expecting Nicole to be able to vanish like that, but she wasn’t too surprised because Nicole was a direct relative of Mary, hence a witch as well.

“I’m not sure. If it turns out that my parents are still alive and are somewhere in this world, I’ll have to find them one way or another because they have a lot of explaining to do,” Mary said with an upset expression.

“How old were you when you last saw them?” Anaya asked.

“I was twelve. My mom dropped me off at my aunt’s place and left. I never saw her again. Later, my aunt told me that they died in a train wreck. No funeral was held, and not a single soul came to console my aunt. From time to time, a visitor came by to check on both of us, but I never asked who she was or where she came from,” Mary replied.
