Chapter 151. Checkmated

~3RD PERSON'S POV~

Gabriella walked silently through the passages toward her room. Other maids, who were working late, walked by, murmuring and chatting among themselves.

Gabriella stared at the ground, lost in deep thought. As she raised her head, she saw Lilith coming out of her room with her bag. Gabriella rushed to her and asked.

“Hey, Lilith, what's going on?”“Oh, Gabriella. I was just getting ready to leave,” Lilith replied.

“Leave? To where?” Gabriella asked with a confused expression.

“Well, I don't think I can stay in this mansion anymore. I think I need to go find something else to do with my life. Staying in this mansion, I drew further and further away from the one person who truly cared about me, and i became something I never thought I'd become.

So... maybe, just maybe I can find myself again out there,” Lilith replied.

“Oh, but where will you stay? How will you move around without a vehicle?” Gabriella asked.

“Yeah, I sp
