Chapter 210. Witch Hunt

~3RD PERSON'S POV~

Edith stood in a large, white kitchen with some other maids, cutting up some vegetables for dinner. The other maids cleaned up dishes, cut up spices and fruits, and cooked up other things in pots of different sizes, working together in perfect harmony. With the aroma that serenaded the entire house, one would think a feast was being prepared. 

Edith's eyes were focused on a carrot she was slicing. She seemed to be taking a lot more time than usual. Her face seemed bothered by something.

“How did you come to work for the dragon family?” Mary's last question resounded in her head. Her chopping suddenly got faster and faster as different sounds filled her ears. Memories she didn't want to remember started to flood in, and as the knife cut through her left index finger, she was instantly snapped out of her reverie.
