“Anima, is something wrong?” Marie asked.
Anima lifted her head from the ground. “I greatly apologize for not realizing that you three were the Heralds of the Moongoddess. If I had known you were the ones Edith. was sending my way, I would have prepared a special room for you and a feast to welcome you. Please punish me however you wish.”
“Punish you? Why would we do that? You've been nothing but nice to us,” Marie asked, sounding very puzzled.
“Yeah, you should get up and calm down. We're not the Heralds you knew over a thousand years ago; we're the nice Heralds,” Valerie added with a soft smile.
Anima slowly rose to her feet, put her palms together, and forced a nervous smile. “I’m so sorry. I've feared the Heralds ever since I heard about their encounter with the Immortals, who betrayed the moongoddess’s rules. They made Solis—the most powerful one among us—vanish from reality forever.
