“You're really prepared for everything, aren't you? I mean, what are those Betas doing there anyway?” I asked, getting up from the ground and dusting my uniform.

“Well, the Crescent Moon pack has been our pack's enemy for years. This is not the first time they've tried to bring our pack down using silent means such as this one. So, the first thing I did immediately after I became alpha was to plant spies in their pack. In fact, I have spies in many of the other packs, some of whom have stayed there for years waiting for orders to strike and some who have already been caught and were in prison until the merge,” Steven explained.

“These spies gather information on the happenings of these packs and secretly submit it to Gregory, who submits it to me. This, among many others, is the reason the alphas fear me and won't hesitate to join my side if I order them to. One alpha in particular has proven very stubborn, though,” Steven continued.
