Esmeralda's POV

My heart skipped a beat as those words flowed into my ears. I was a bit unsettled and I kind of wanted to run away but he was still holding my hand. His grip was strong and he held me like he was the only meaningful thing in his life.

Wesley walked over to where we were standing, Killian gave him his full attention but he still held my hand.

"I'm leaving," he said hurriedly.

Killian slightly frowned, "why so suddenly?"

Wesley chuckled and placed a hand on Killian's shoulder, "do you have any use of me, friend? Your woman is here now, shouldn't show her just how much you missed her or you want me to watch?"

My cheeks warmed up. My breath was caught in my throat and somehow I knew Killian felt the same way.
