Cassie’s POV

Compared to human pregnancy, female werewolves carry their child in 5 months. And this month is the month when we are looking forward to the arrival of our newest member of the family.

My belly looks bigger, and it is just normal for me to be unable to walk at all at this moment.

My skin is pale, and underneath my eyes are a shade of black because of sleepless nights. My pregnancy is truly hard.

I endure the pain of constant discomfort every single night, especially when the third month has passed. It was not easy.

I am sitting on a wooden chair, and I am looking at my reflection. I look restless, and I know that it is worth it.

I know that I am not the type of woman who has ethereal beauty, but I look much worse than before.

But I did not feel insecure or lacking. Every day, my mate always shows up and makes me feel as if I am the most precious gem that he will cherish and protect at all costs.
