Chapter 121. Stop Resisting
Raina’s POV
“Show yourself! Don’t just hide.” Valen’s gruffly demanded, swiveling around.
“You have no authority here, Alpha Prince.” The feminine voice returned with a giggle.
“You brought us here, so come out and talk to us.” I tried to sound amicably.
No one answered.
No one was sighted.
There was no rustling of trees or sounds of animals. Only the bitter brumal breeze and us.
I looked up at Valen with wide unsure eyes and admitted, “I’m actually scared now.”
“The gods usually make some sort of deal. Even if it was Cronus, I believe he should offer you a way to redeem yourself.” His gentle words gave me a little hope.
The heat that glistened off the water's surface caressed my skin, coaxing and inviting. I anticipated feeling the hot water against my flesh and hopefully, it will ease my mind and body from this suspenseful tension.
