Valen’s POV

My baby chuckled. Then she merrily resumed eating it. She was strangely happy ― as cheerful as a platypus. While I chomped the pieces in my mouth with a sour face like a seasick crocodile. She observed me while humming to make sure I swallowed.

With profound adoration, I gazed at Raina as though she was a lovely daydream. She’s such a tease. I wanted her and I liked this chipper side of her.

Reflecting on the environment, I did not know when the drumrolls desist. Apparently, so did the storm.

But these were the blissful moments I craved. Just me and her. This was the sole good thing about being here.

I also wished to inquire about her feelings. Was she ready to let me love her? Or should I observe silently and draw my own conclusions? A glimpse of her heart would suffice.

One word that could describe what I felt at this moment was fulfillment. Happiness wasn't enough because this feeling was so much more than that. Rai
