“Alpha, I spot 50 wolves coming our way.” An elite reported.

“Get the warriors and elites in position. We will meet them in the pavilions and battle there. Remember to take a few hostages. Allow only five to live so that we can follow them back to their hideout. Kill the rest.” I commanded through our werewolf’s telepathic connection.

Miriam had implemented the protective shield around the pack territory after broadcasting that Hank would be executed in two days. I knew that would force his associates to act quickly. I also created holes in our patrol system to attract them into seeing opportunities to attack. We waited for them to make the first move and made it seem that we were laid back.

The Luna ceremony was the event that I gambled on, but I am grateful for its success. The rogues came after its conclusion, but not in the way that I had expected.
