Chapter 7
The Cabin
Hearing the loud clang of the doorbell, I rush to the bathroom for finishing touches before I allow him to see me. I would love it if he opened the door and immediately thought to himself, “I must be the luckiest man in the world to be with such a beautiful woman.” Then he proceeded to drop to his knees and asked me to marry him. However, we all know that is a fairy tale ending, and those don’t really exist.
Realizing that I am just being foolish, I glance in the bathroom mirror quickly. There is something wrong, but at first, I don’t notice what it is until I inspect my face closer. Trying to decipher if it’s the lighting or my skin tone, I decide to go with the latter.
As I run the blush brush over my cheekbones, I inspect the splash of rose blush that I had just bought at the store yesterday.
Now satisfied with myself, I smile and then hurry to the bedroom so I can do a once-over i
