Justin’s POV

I’ve been spending a lot of time with Eli these past few months. I didn’t know, but I was happy whenever I was with her. It felt like I was myself whenever I was with her. There was no pretending. I didn’t need to impress her to be my friend. She appreciated me as I was, and that’s what I liked about her.

The comfort and joy I felt around her were unlike anything I had experienced before. It was as if we had known each other for a lifetime, and I cherished every moment we spent together. I wondered if I was developing some feelings for that awesome girl. Maybe a little crush? A happy crush?

I didn’t want to tell her because she might get awkward around me, and I didn’t want that to happen. I didn’t want to make a move yet because I knew I was still unsure of my feelings, and knowing Eli, she’d probably laugh at me or tell me she was still in the process of moving on from her unrequited love.
