Chapter 66

When the Smiths arrived back at the house, I had three of my suitcases in the living room. They were empty, but they didn't need to know that. I was sitting on the nice easy chair, Roxanne and Sharon were on the couch. The Smiths looked at my luggage, then me.

"Are you leaving?" Phillip asked. Laura started crying.

"That depends on what you do in the next five to six hours."

"What must we do?" Laura said, hoping for a reprieve.
