Chapter 29

Tasha and Joe sat on a sturdy branch high up in the tree and munched on protein bars. Joe handed Tasha a bottle of water. “How are you feeling?”

She took a sip. “Better. I’m not at full strength, but I am stronger.”

“We’re going to need a plan,” Joe said.

Tasha sighed. “We are up against a very powerful organization. They are going to do everything to keep me under control.”

“Too bad there’s no cell service out here…”

“Why, Joe?”

“As I said, I could livestream you to the world,” Joe said. “Once they see what you can do, I’m sure more people will come on board…”

Tasha touched Joe gently on the shoulder. “That’s a good idea, but I’d lose any chance of living a normal life. People would either fear me or want to use me.”
