An hour later the general and his team set up a control tent in a clearing by the river. General Carr growled at an aide, “Where are the major, the captain, and that damn Natasha?”

“They just arrived at the scene, sir,” the aide said, snapping to attention.

“What’s the latest on the girl?”

“Our tracking chopper is for some reason flying back to base. They insist they must do it,” the aide said.

“She bent them. So, all we know is she is somewhere in the woods!” The general snapped.

“Yes, sir,” the aide said with a bow.

The general banged his hand on the little makeshift desk at the camp. “Where are Captain Robinson, Major Ross, and Natasha?”

“On their way, sir,” the aide said, lowering his head.

Major Ross, Captain Robinson, and Natasha walked into the tent. “Here, sir,” Major Ross said, snapping to attention.
