I was so shocked that my mouth was agape after hearing what she just said, and when I looked at her face, I could see the determination there.

I didn't expect that she would concede right away and agree to sleep with me, just after what I did to her.

I should be happy and jumping for joy, but why is it that what I was feeling is far from being happy?

I'm not happy at all, that's for sure, because the truth is, the guilt was eating me.

I remembered how terrified she was when she thought that she was really in danger and the disappointment she felt after she learned the truth, that I fooled her into believing that she was getting kidnap by bad people, when in fact, I hired those people to deliver us the groceries and necessities we needed while staying on this island.

She was probably shaking from fear when she thought that she was in real danger, and that image of her intensified the guilt in my chest.
