Chapter 11. Striking Question

Gladwin coughed from choking, he pounded his chest as he stretched out his hand. 

A glass of water was held out by Lilyana, the woman also helped Gladwin to drink it. 

"What's wrong with you, Dad? Eat slowly, don't rush," said Lilyana who then put the glass of water back on the dining table. 

Gladwin was still coughing a little, but in his heart he was grateful that his daughter was not suspicious of his previous answer. 

"No, I went to the restroom Lily." Gladwin said when she felt a little better. 

The woman nodded her head, although in her heart she was still curious about who had turned on the light in the household assistant's room. 

It's been almost a year that Lilyana hasn't had a household assistant and the room is always empty, only occasionally opening it when she wants to clean it.
