Chapter 50

"Well, I tried. Whenever you need to talk, I am a phone call away or you can finally fulfill that promise of coming over to see Rocky." Amber reminds him. He laughs at this. When Amber had just given birth, their colleagues had come through with so many presents for the baby. Lewis was the only one missing. When confronted, he exclaimed that he had plans of making a special home visit for the special baby. He boasted about having big plans and everyone laughed at this. Lewis never showed up.

 "Look, I have been meaning to come see my boy, you know. A lot of stuff has been happening and I have not had the time. Don't judge a detective with a crazy schedule." Lewis says. Amber just laughs. 

"I have a date to prepare for. My ride could be here any minute, got to glam up for the occasy, you know." Lewis smiles as though he can see Amber physically. 

"You are having fun with this, aren't you? This is an important mission, Lewis. Don't play around with it.
