Chapter 57

"Come on, Tammy. You won't be a coward this time, would you?" She mutters under her breath. Lewis notices her anxiety and places his hand over hers on the table. She gives him a smile and her mind drugts away from Tammy and everything she has planned to say to her. She pays closer attention to his facial features. He is quite handsome.

"Why are you smiling at me like that?" He asks with a smirk on his face. She leans close to him and whispers. 

"That is my 'you look really hot and I would like to go skinny dipping with you some time" look. What do you say?" She asks, and she draws back from him quick enough to see the shade of his cheeks slightly deepen. She nods slowly, maintaining eye contact with him and smiling to herself. She still has her flirting skills in check. 

"I uhm … I will think about it, Emily." Lewis looks away, trying to break their eye contact. He feels like he is being stared at in the depths of his soul. He is beginning to feel guilt.
