Chapter 69

Emily twirls locks of her hair between her fingers. She has gotten nervous. "Why do you want to know? How did you even remember that?" Emily asks, conveniently trying to avoid answering the question. 

"Because I need to know what is going on. I want to understand." He says this, then runs a hand through his hair. Emily sits up right and looks Lewis in the eyes. She takes a deep breath. "Well Lewis, if you would like to know, I think I really like you."

Lewis stares at her with a funny look. He does not think she is serious. He is waiting for her to crack and say an easy "ha! Gotcha. How could I ever like someone like you. You are best friend material. No, even better, you are that gay friend that every friend group has who always gives the best advices. You are not dating material." Hell, this is the right time for bratty Emily to show up. Where the hell is she? "Lewis, you are not saying anything?" Emily taps at Lewis's shoulders to bring him back to the present. L
