Chapter 465
Mr. Livingstone arrived fifteen minutes before the hearing was scheduled, carrying a lawyer’s ever present companion, a briefcase. We explained that Flint Spear wanted to stay outside until he was called to testify.
“He has to go through security, which is a pretty lengthy process for those they didn’t know were coming before. He should go through with us,” Stanley said.
Flint Spear nodded his head in ascent, and we went in. While all of the rest of us only had to go through the equivalent of an airport scanner, Flint Spear was searched. He didn’t look happy about it, though he offered no trouble.
The hearing room was on the first floor, through barred gates. When we got there, we saw Quinn in a sturdy metal cage in front of the judge.
