Chapter 23
Pollen's POV
I was curled up at the corner of my bed, my eyebrows furrowed in anger. I have been staring down at the letter I had just received from Zion Magazine; a Christian magazine I was confident I had a chance with. That was because of its extremely low number of applicants. But just like every other time and every other magazine, I was rejected. The only thing that set them apart from the others was the tone in which they deem me unfit to work with them, but it didn't change anything. It still hurts the same.
Laura’s dripping head suddenly popped out of the bathroom door. I hurriedly hid the letter.
“We are out of shampoo and shower gel” She announced in fury.
“Why does it have to finish when it my turn to clean up?”
“Forgive me. I should have told you ” I apologized and jolted to my feet.
