Chapter 10. The Dinner

She smiled sweetly and suddenly came to life, "By the way, to celebrate my successful interview, how about I invite you for dinner?"

It was also for easing their stiff relationship.

Logan didn't answer. Instead Jacob spoke first, "Madam, we'd better ..."

"Ok." Logan agreed.

Jacob seemed to be surprised by Logan's answer. But he didn't say anything after all. He glanced at Logan and met his cold eyes. Jacob instantly looked away and was totally focused on driving.

Elena chose a steak house. Originally, she wanted to go for the spicy hotpot, but given Logan's tastes, she relinquished it.

Logan went straight inside the box before the restaurant manager came in, "Mr. Brown ..."

Jacob arranged everything. Suddenly, a waiter came in with a flustered look and whispered to the manager, "Mr. Smith is coming. Now he is waiting outside for this box."

Mr. Smith? Jeremy Smith? She couldn't be so unlucky. Elena had a bad feeling.

"This box has always
