Chapter 46. Kiss

She watched him take off his jacket and sat down. He looked at her, wondering why she was still standing there.

"Do you need something? Because as far as I am concerned, you ought to close by 5."

"I don't need anything but I need to talk with you about…this…this morning." She replied and gulped nervously.

"I see," Raphael said and stood up to be in front of her. Evelyn stepped back a bit. This was what she was exactly thinking about when they were coming back, what she did earlier in the morning was so wrong of her and she shouldn't have done that. She acted on impulse, therefore, exposing herself so she wanted to clear things with him so he wouldn't think she was so cheap.
