“Hello, Nadine!”

“Hey,” she answered tiredly.

“Congratulations! I’m an auntie now!” I shouted, unable to contain my excitement.

“Thanks. She’s here, 3.8 kilos. She just about finished me off.”

“Ohhh, I can’t wait to hold her! As soon as I get back from Bali, I’ll stop over in Paris. Mom should be there by the 20th. We couldn’t get a ticket before then.”

“Okay, no problem.”

“I gave her my card.”

“You did? The good stuff?”

“I capped it. Just the necessities for my princess, nothing else.”

“And I’m doing all the work?”

“I’ll send you your gift when I get back from my honeymoon. I wish she could have waited a bit.”

“She was in a hurry to see the world.”
