Hawa’s POV
“Hawa, I’m sorry, we’ll be leaving for the club as soon as we finish dinner, okay?” Kesso said after Ousmane’s wife had left our table.
“Don’t worry,” I said.
“Ah, I knew there was something behind all that commotion. Do you know what it is?”
“I don’t know her at all.”
“Ah, she acts like someone’s interested in her life.”
“Look at this,” I said, showing Soukena the sketch I’d made. “This is the model you’re talking about, isn’t it?”
“Yes, it is. Kesso is going to show me your place. She explained to me that you still work from home.”
“Yes, that’s right.”
