Chapter 107. His Birthmark

Winter's POV

 "You're still mad at me, aren't you?"Matthew asked me while we were on our way to my company. 

 I didn't speak. I just kept on scrolling through my phone, pretending not to hear anything. 

 "Look, pumpkin, I didn't refuse just because I didn't want to do that. I swear to God, I---

 "Aren't you over that yet? Oh, I already told you it's alright with me, Matthew." I said as I faked a laugh. 

 "You just called me by my name. I know you're still mad."

 "I'm alright. I'm not mad, okay?"

 "Are you sure?"

 I nodded my head. "Of course."

 He stopped the car when we arrived at my company. He was about to kiss me, but then I avoided him and reached for my bag instead. 

 "I'll go to work now. See you later!" I said as I stepped out of his car. 

 I even heard him call my name again, but I just pretended not to hear him.
