Chapter 129. Trapped

"What if I just come with you?" Winter asked me when I told her that tonight would be the time we have planned to reveal who the culprit of the massacre was. 

I shook my head. "It's too dangerous there. Also, aren't you coming to your father's party?"

"But I want to help you... Didn't I tell you that I will do my best to help you?"

"Didn't I also tell you that as long as you're here with me, that's enough for me?"

She pouted as she put her arms around my waist. "Be careful there, okay?"

"I will.  Enjoy the night with your parents, okay?"

"I will let you meet them tomorrow."

I smiled as I kissed her on her forehead. "I can't wait to finally meet them."

"They told me how much they want to meet you already. You know, I've been telling them stories about you."
