Aaron POV
The connection was lost, and I was going crazy.
“Why is the damn thing not connecting?” I asked, turning to Jeremy, who was frantically tapping on whatever it was that should get the connection back and running—or at least I think it should.
“I don’t know. It seems like the server is shutting down,” he said, and that… that did not make me feel better. Not an inch. If anything, it made my stomach churn.
“It better not! My girl is out there with this stranger, she’s being taken, and I need to know what the fuck is going on!” I snapped, and Jeremy just cast a dry stare my way, like I was the problem here.
I shouldn’t have let her go. I should have known it was a bad fucking idea from the beginning.
