Aaron’s grip on me was firm, making my struggles useless.

“Aaron,” I hissed, twisting in his hold, but his strength didn’t waver.

“Ten messages, kitten. No reply,” he murmured, his lips brushing my ear. A shiver rippled through me—not from the cold but something deeper.

I rolled my eyes, irritation flaring. Was he serious?

“And that justifies breaking into my house at ten at night?” I bit out, acutely aware of his chest pressing against my back.
