Chapter 89. Truth Comes to Light

Tristan's POV

I didn't want to leave Elona all by herself, but I had to respect her too. She hates me and I don't blame her. It crushes my heart to know that she won't see me as the man she loved. I just wish that the situation was different. I cannot change the past, and now I have to deal with a woman that I don't even want in this house. At least she will be here for a week, and then I'm putting her out. She just knows how to push all my buttons and don't let me get started on Cris.

I entered my house, Maggie was sitting at the dinner table working on her laptop. "I was about to look for you," she said.

I walked further towards the dinner table, "I am not your child. I don't appreciate that you speak to me this way in my house. What the hell are you on about? Telling people that we are engaged when that is far from the truth," I hissed at her.
