“I’m sorry,” Alexander added when he saw my flat expression. “Maybe I shouldn’t have said that.” He continued, letting out a deep breath.
I didn’t know how to feel about what he had just said to me. I had no idea what to say to him. What of the deal he had with Tricia? If she could stoop so low to impersonate me at the event, she wasn’t going to let him go so easily.
“And what did Tricia have to say about it?” I asked, arching a brow at him. “How did she react to your little confession?” I added, letting out a soft chuckle.
Alexander replied, scratching his brows. “She asked me if I had forgotten about our deal.”
