Earlier today, I wasn’t expecting to go out for dinner with Mason, so I had only a few hours to get ready. I needed to style my hair, shower, and do my makeup.

Harper always helped me with styling my hair. It was a good thing she didn’t have any plans for the night because I couldn’t imagine going to the hair salon on such short notice.

Harper and Amelia were super excited to help me get ready. With the way they behaved, one would think that Mason was paying them to root for him.

I was happy at the thought of going out for dinner with him, but my happiness only lasted a few seconds whenever I realized we couldn’t be together.

We didn’t know for sure if our parents would approve, but we were too scared to even tell them about it. I couldn’t even bring myself to tell Caroline about it.
