Chapter 55. Gratitude

I should’ve expected that she would react that way. Proposing to her was a stupid idea. I didn’t even think it through. I just let my emotions control me.

I forced a fake smile and turned to the workers who helped plan the proposal. “Thank you for helping.” I expressed my gratitude.

After placing the ring back in my pocket, I walked out of the rooftop and to Olivia’s office. Her door was closed but I knew she was inside.

“Please open up, Olivia.” I pleaded as I knocked multiple times with a reply. The desperation and frustration in my voice was evident.
