Chapter 17

Eternity’s POV

Slowly, I open my eyes. A dull sciatic ache has settled into my head and all over my body. When I touch my head, I feel fabric wrapped around it like a medication bandage.

My hands are also covered with gauze, and my stomach is bruised. I can’t understand much around me because I feel so dizzy, but I slowly begin to sense the pain.

Then I notice I am on a big king-sized bed with a soft silk duvet.

How did I end up here? I clearly remember that mysterious man kidnapping and beating me severely.

I try to sit on the bed but fail due to pain.

“You’re awake,” a soft voice says to me.

I can feel a feeling of regret in his voice. I look. It’s Aaron, but my mind is still on that kidnapper at how mercilessly he beat me.
