My mind was beating so fast as we approached the council. I was finally facing the fact that I would be sitting in the citadel soon. It had been a hectic year. I was just a simple girl who took things the way they came. I never envisaged that I had anything to offer wolves all over.
'Are you okay? I can hear your heartbeat from here,' Lance said, moving closer to me.
'I am fine Lance. The reality of the fact that I will be sitting in the citadel is just dawning on me,' I said looking at him.
Lance smiled brightly at me before saying, 'I am actually nervous about it. The more real it becomes, the more surreal it feels.'
'I just hope this is the last hurdle before this is all over,' I said sighing.
