Chapter 439. Confrontation

As Kay finished his words, he felt the oppression and silence in the air, the breeding of danger.

Nick did not move, every muscle in his body tightened to the point of stiffness after he remembered what he had said in the box.

There was an unfathomable depth in his dark eyes. Nick leaned back into his seat angrily.

Veronica had dinner and stood on the observation deck, she leaned against the guardrail to see the distant view of the sea.

If she would do something unusual, the bodyguard would appear in front of her.

If Nick would not let go, she would be like this for the rest of her life.

He stood outside until it was dark then he returned to the bedroom and went into the bathroom.

There was no bathtub either in Winter Villa or there.

There was no such thing as a bathtub if the property was owned by Nick.

Veronica stood under the shower. She was looking up slightly and she was letting the water wash her face.
