Astria’s POV

“Does it look like I have a chance here man?”

“Way to go on spoiling the mood Astria.”

“Let’s just get this done Angelo. Before I decide to change my mind.” I snapped at him.

Everyone was staring and the room was filled with an air of tension, enhanced by the mesmerizing blue eyes that locked onto mine. Instantly, my breath caught in my throat.

With each deliberate movement, he crawled towards me, never once breaking eye contact. It was as if a mental clock ticked in my mind, heightening the tension between us.

My eyes involuntarily darted to his lips, and, almost instinctively, I swiped my tongue across my lower lip. I could feel the desire building within me.

As his rough palm gently brushed against my cheek in a tender caress, I found myself swallowing nervously.
