I had just finished arranging the final dish in the corner of the kitchen when Angelo burst through the door.

“Wow! Something smells absolutely delicious in here! Did you all finish that so quickly?”

Layla shot Angelo an annoyed glance at his comment. “There was nothing quick about this, and I have so much respect for Astria. I don’t know how she managed to keep standing throughout the whole process. There were times I wanted to sit down, but seeing her standing strong discouraged me from doing so.”
