Layla’s POV

“Bae, wake up,” Helia gently prodded.

“Nuh-uh. I don’t wanna wake up,” I groaned.

“You have morning breath and Lucy is going to wake you up herself if you don’t get moving.”

“Shoot her if she walks in, but please just leave me alone. I’m so tired that I just want to keep on sleeping.”

“Mm… Your father is coming today and you don’t want another lecture on tardiness.”

As if that word was a curse, the feeling of sleep suddenly vanished, and now, I was wide awake.

“Fuck you, Helia. Why the fuck did you have to do that?! Sheesh, talk about ruining good sleep.”

“Pfft, sorry babe. But it was the only way to make you get up from bed. Now, how about we go have breakfast, discuss, and get our stories right for your dad?”

With no other choice, I sighed tiredly and got out of bed. Feeling a bit uncomfortable and nauseated, I pushed aside the feeling and decided to go about my daily hygiene.
