Chapter 16. Make a Deal

Nicholas stepped a little hastily into the Restaurant on the first floor of the Astronomix Residence. From a distance, his eyes caught the figure of a woman he knew very well enjoying the night view behind the restaurant's glass. 

Before approaching, Nicholas watched the woman from a distance for a moment. His mind is still full of questions. His secretary was suddenly so pushy to live in his apartment. Even today, Kimberly is still wearing work clothes, which means he has not returned to her house. This made Nicholas wonder what exactly was Kimberly hiding or planning. 

"Is the view outside so stunning that you didn't notice my presence?" asked Nicholas as he sat himself down on a restaurant chair. Kimberly came to her senses then shifted her gaze to where Nicholas was now sitting.

"The scenery here is very nice, and I like it."
