Chapter 191. A Date?

“David! How are you?” I asked, sitting upright. He was silent for a moment.

“Ashamed,” he answered. “ Regretful for how I behaved with you and the accusation I made,” he said.

“David, we need to talk,” I said, and he let out a sigh.

“The words no man wants to hear,”

“I’ll see you tomorrow. Good night,” I said and ended the phone call.

I would come clean to David about the confusing feeling I had for Ellis.

The following morning, I woke up early and went to the gym as I always do. An hour after the gym, I got the twins ready for school.

I did the drop-off before going to work. I could feel people steal glances at me as I walked through the office space, but they were not hostile. What happened?

Jamie came to my side. He was enthusiastic.

“What’s going on around here, everyone seems normal after what happened yesterday,”

“Well, Mr Krayton spoke to the staff about what happened. He was intimidating,” he said. Hmm. That’s why t
