Chapter 329. I Can’t Resist

Gavin’s POV

After the horrible encounter with my alpha, I searched for my mate. There was a lake she often visited. I didn’t know what I’d have done if I had found her, but one thing for sure was that I wouldn’t let Amir have her. Ever. She was mine; I shouldn’t have rejected her. I wanted to take it back.

Reaching the lake, I found Duncan there. He was beside himself, sitting on a large tree trunk, his head hanging low and his hands in his head.

“Duncan, what happened?” I asked. I felt apprehension in my stomach, and my heart was pounding. I caught Apphia’s scent, but she was nowhere to be seen. I could also smell blood, and there were blood stains on the ground. Something was wrong, so fucking wrong.

“Where’s she?” my voice broke. He lifted his head and looked at me. His eyes were bleak and red.

“D, why are you here?” I asked, my voice shaking. Where was my mate?

“My sister,”

“What happened, D?” I panicked, feeling different emotion
