Chapter 469. Not Her Minion

Jamila’s POV

“I figured when I was levitating in the air,” I mumble.

“He’s royalty, an alpha king,” Mom says. My eyes widen. I have heard of the stories of a young lycan king. He’s strong and dangerous. He has powers, too, like the rest of the royal family, but his are outlandish.

“Oh,”

“His name is Nicholas, Nicholas Lavista, and he had a mate, but she died and was taken by the moon goddess because she, too, had special powers. The death of his mate almost killed him; it destroyed him, and he’s still heartbroken. He won’t accept the bond, sweetheart,” Dad explains, his tone soft and sympathetic. I feel tears dance in my eyes, truly heart-shattering.

“B- But I’m his second chance mate, Dad. The moon mother paired me to him for a reason,” My voice shakes, tears pouring down my cheeks. My mother shifts and gently wipes away my tears.

“We know, but he’s not ready. Trust us,”

“Then why didn’t he reject me instantly, Mom? He just left,”
